We are in our 70s, experienced home exchangers, non-smokers. Our home is a colonial style cottage with living room and mezzanine (general purpose)plus a separate sleep-out(accommodates 3 persons)and is located by the water's edge in a seaside village. The location, on the Coromandel Peninsula, provides some of NZ's best coastal scenery. Marine attractions and water sports. We also have a home in Hamilton (listing HE6539) which is availabe for exchange, either separately from or with this one)

About the location

Tairua is one of the oldest settlements on the Coromandel Peninsula. Originally a centre for the export of timber, Tairua is now a village with a permanent population of around 1,800 which swells to 6,000 plus at the height of our summer holiday season. There is one small supermarket, a convenience store, butchery,two clothing shops, stationery, business centre, tourist information centre, public library a marina and several restaurants. Whilst Tairua can be reached by a daily bus service, a car is essential for accessing the many beaches and small settlements of the Coromandel Peninsula.
