Cosy home in Adelaide, the festival city
Our home is in a suburban area on the edge of Adelaide, backing onto Anstey Hill National Park, where there are lots of great walking trails. Within 6 minutes’ drive or a bus ride (the bus stop is right outside the door) there is a great shopping mall, recently tastefully renovated. (Tea Tree Plaza) where you can also go to the movies. At this location there is an express busway (O-Bahn) into the city; The O-Bahn Busway is a guided busway that is part of the bus rapid transit system servicing the northeastern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. The original O-Bahn system is the one in the German city of Essen 15 minutes away. We are also within 40-minute drive from the world-famous Barossa Valley, with about 50 wonderful wineries to visit, and enjoy free wine tasting. There is also plenty of good shopping nearby, restaurants and pubs. A half hour drive takes you to the pristine Adelaide beaches. A drive in the other direction, immediately gets you in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. You can also take a public bus straight from the Adelaide airport to Tea Tree Plaza interchange and then switch to another bus which will take you right to our home. We are open to trading cars.
We are a couple of retired teachers (Terrell: High school Media studies and University professor, Narda: High school Music in schools in Australia, New York and China) with grownup kids and grandkids in Washington DC, Lahore Pakistan and Adelaide. There is a whole world out there waiting for us. Terrell is a keen photographer and blogger (or do they say vlogger these days?). We love to travel and plan trips. It`s become a passion, being open to it all. After completing more than 25 house exchanges and enjoyed each one we are looking forward to doing many more. Narda was born in Utrecht, Netherlands and Terrell in Michigan USA.
