The Beeches
Our home is set amid New Zealand native bush and overlooks Lake Taupo, the largest lake in the North Island. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a double oven, microwave, and dish drawers. There are four bedrooms on different levels, and each has a view of the lake. There is also a rumpus room on the lowest level. A washing machine and dryer are also provided. There are a number of stairs in the house but no lift. Outside, there is a large deck for outdoor dining and lounging - or just admiring the view!
About the location
Lake Taupo and its rivers and streams are known for trout fishing. Pukawa Bay is a small and quiet settlement but is near to ski fields, walking and biking trails, and, of course, water activities on the lake. The nearest toen is Turangi, about a 10-minute drive away, and Taupo is about a 50-minute drive. Natural hot pools are a short drive away too. There is a restaurant within walking distance and a cafe in the next bay.
