Our home is in a bushland setting among eucalypt trees, in a twisting hilly street, in a dormitory suburb known as The Bellbird Area.

Blackburn Lake, 130 acres of natural bushland as Melbourne was pre-European settlement - is only 200 meters away at the end of our street, and makes for delightful Australian bush walks each day.

We are happy to swap our 2013 Nissan Maxima V6 automatic 4 door sedan.

Shops, including full supermarkets are five minutes away by car, or ten minutes by bike. Library, popular coffee shop and tennis courts are ten minutes walk away. Local rail station is 15 minute walk.

Neighbours are excellent, and will warmly assist with any queries.

Melbourne is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Several years ago it was rated by a US research institute as `the most livable city in the world`. It is a city of outstanding botanical gardens and treed suburbs. It has a temperate climate, with winters never seeing snow. The summer can be hot, which of course is good for the beach and surfing. A wide range of quality produce with a melding of multicultural elements results in the most diverse and vibrantly exciting food and restaurants in Australia.

Day Trips from our home include The Great Ocean Road - one of the great scenic ocean drives in the world; Sovereign Hill Ballarat - gold rush town replica on the original 1850`s gold fields; nightly penguin parade at a beach on Philip Island - very popular with Japanese; Sherbrooke Forest - lyrebirds; Lorne - mountains, sea and surf; Eildon - `the bush` plus river and lake fishing; Bendigo - old gold city with working gold mines and much history; Grampians - mountains; the world class wineries of the Yarra Valley are but 30 minutes drive from our home. There are also lots of fine day walks you can do near Melbourne.
