Comfortable detached home on the edge of the south lake District

Our home is between the town of Ulverston and village of Urswick in the Southern Lake District, Cumbria. We live in a small hamlet with around 80 other houses, in a 20 year old house that we`ve been slowly improving since we moved in 11 years ago.

The house has two, double bedrooms available, one of which has an ensuite bathroom. The second has a separate bath and shower room.

Downstairs we have a large lounge, with an electric fire, a large flat screen smart television and a piano.

Fully fitted kitchen with integral appliances, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. Dinning room with a large table and french doors leading to the enclosed garden.

In the garden we have a hot tub, a bbq area and seating area.

On the front we have plenty of free parking on the driveway, and space in a garage for any bikes.

About the location

The Market town of Ulverston is renowned for its warmth and for welcoming visitors from all around the globe. Festivals are held throughout the year and make for a vibrant place to be.

Nearby must visits are the beaches overlooking Morcambe Bay, Birkrigg common, and the world famous Manjushri Kadampa Meditation centre. All within a 10 min drive from the house.

The town of Ulverston marks the start of the Cumbrian Way (for serious walkers) but has plenty of interesting local walks. Refreshing beach walks overlook the beautiful Morecambe Bay. Ulverston is an ideal location for quick access to the beautiful Lake District. The shores of Lake Windermere are only a 20 mins drive away where you can explore the whole of the National Park and fully appreciate the stunning lakes. Activities range from scenic walks to serious fell walking, biking or cream teas in the cafes. There is something for everyone in The Lake District.

There is an abundance of places to eat. Restaurants, traditional pubs, cafes and tea-rooms in the town centre to cater for all tastes. The town is well served by local shops and supermarkets.
