Cozy and peaceful 2 bedroom flat near to Brixton
Welcome to our home! It`s a 2 bed flat in a 1930s apartment building in Brixton Hill/Streatham Hill. We`ve got a cat called Lilly, lots of books (you`re welcome to read!) and we feel like it`s a peaceful and cozy place to be. We`ve got a king size bed in the main bedroom, and a double futon/sofa in the second bedroom. There`s a light and airy sitting room, kitchen with large fridge/freezer and all usual facilities and a bathroom. The block is well looked after by the live in caretaker, with a shared lawn out the front and lots of flowers and shrubs around. Our neighbours are friendly, and in the summertime there`s often people having picnics/children playing outside. The flat is set back from the road and away from main roads so is nice and quiet. We`ve got fast wifi and a TV you`re welcome to use too. In terms of accessibility, our flat is on the 2nd floor and unfortunately there`s no lift. We`re a couple in our 30s living with Lilly, children are welcome to stay but a heads up the flat is not set up for young children. If you`re a smoker, there`s a walkway outside the flat you can smoke on. Lilly is a indoor cat and she`d be your housemate during your stay, she`s pretty quiet and peaceful and sleeps a lot. She loves a bit of play when she gets to know you and would just need feeding twice per day/litter being put out if you`re staying a long time.

Balham is also a 25 minute walk with lots of nice cafes and brunch spots, big supermarket if you need to do shopping and another tube station. Our closest highstreet is Streatham which has all the shops you could want and an amazing diversity of restaurants. A little further away you also have Tooting which is one of the centres of London`s Pakistani/Indian Community and full of great food and markets and Clapham which has a popular park and buzzing nightlife. In terms of pubs nearby, you`ve got a range of community pubs (the Hand in Hand), Latino Pubs (the crown and sceptre) alongside gastropubs in Balham (Balham Bowls Club). In terms of parks, Tooting Bec is a 10 minute walk and Brockwell Park is about 25 minutes away and is next to Herne Hill which is great for shops and more upscale restuarants. In terms of transport, Brixton, Balham and Clapham South underground stations are all a 20/25 minute walk or short bus ride away, Balham and Streatham Hill rail stations are about the same distance and there`s lots of buses in all directions from near the flat.
