Beautiful Victorian townhouse ten minutes by train from the centre of London Town!

Our beautiful house is located in Brockley, South East London. It`s a 4 double bedroom Victorian terrace with a large reception room, kitchen, basement, bathroom and a separate toilet downstairs.

It has those lovely Victorian features such as Bay Windows and ornate coving but at the same time feels modern and clean. There is no clutter but it has all of the appliances and resources you would expect. There’s a Combi Boiler which provides hot water on demand and an efficient heating system that heats the house up quickly and keeps it warm!

It also has a small but beautiful garden with a raised deck which catches the sun for most of the day. It’s light and bright, peaceful and quiet.

The photographs show our house as we use it on a day to day basis. Two of the double bedrooms are used as informal offices. However, we have double beds to put in these two rooms. There is also an additional double sofa bed in the lounge opposite a wall mounted Smart TV.

The house is very safe and secure. There are 12 point locks on all the doors. Brockley is a lovely safe area with a village feel. It’s a great example of the best of London’s cosmopolitan populace.

We have lived here for 25 years. Our neighbours are lovely and there is a nice friendly vibe on the street. Parking is easy and free.

About the location

Brockley and the immediate surrounding area boasts a host of parks and restaurants. Hilly Fields park, with its spectacular views over London is two minutes away. We are also located close to Ladywell and Blythe Hill parks that are both worth exploring. One Tree Hill, which offers an incredible view over London is ten minutes away. There are two fantastic cemeteries nearby that are worth exploring. Brockley Cemetery is across the road and the more majestic Nunhead Cemetery is a 15 minute walk away. The world famous Rivoli Ballroom is a 5 minute walk away and is an incredible place to visit. It’s featured in hundreds of films and television shows and hosts some fab and funky nights where you can dance the night away.

There are a multitude of restaurants and take-aways nearby – Lebanese, Chinese, Japanese, Pizza, Jamaican, Greasy Spoon Cafes and the celebrated Brockley’s Rock Fish and Chip shop just across the road.

There is a handy Co-op just around the corner which stocks pretty much everyday food item you could need and a Sainsbury’s Superstore a ten minute drive away. Plus a large array of deli’s and local shops that cater for pretty much every need.

There are no less than 4 train stations within walking distance. Crofton Park (5 minutes) Brockley (10 minutes), Ladywell (15 minutes) and Honour Oak (20 minutes). Trains from Brockley run directly to London Bridge (13 minutes) and from Ladywell to Charing Cross (22 minutes).

London Bridge gives you quick and easy access on foot to Borough Market, The Globe Theatre, The Shard, The Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Tate Modern. Charing Cross is a short walk from Covent Garden and the West End theatres, Trafalgar Square and the Embankment. The DLR also runs from Lewisham Station with links to Greenwich and City Airport.

Our location is also close to Greenwich which hosts the Cutty Sark and the wonderful eclectic Greenwich Market. In addition we are a ten minute drive from Greenland Pier. From there you can catch the supercool Thames Clippers (Uber Boats) into town with stops at the Tower of London, The Globe and The London Eye. Heading East along the river takes you to the Millenium Dome that hosts a fantastic array of gigs and events all year round.

It is also easy to cycle from our house to Greenwich and then along the river bank and up to The Lord Mayor’s offices and Tower Bridge. Peckham and all of it’s hip joints are multicultural populace are also within easy cycling distance.

Our house is close to Gatwick (1hr 10), Stanstead (1hr) and City (35 minutes) airports. It is an hour and a half drive from the Channel Tunnel.
