Portmellon, Mevagissey, Cornwall

3 Mitchells Boatyard, Portmellon, is a two bedroom terraced house facing Portmellon Cove and the sea. It was built in 1988 on the site of a prestigious former boat building workshop, hence the name. The cove is very tidal, with a large beach at low tide and the sea coming to the sea wall at high tide. It is only 25 yards from our front door, across a small road, to the beach.

The house consists of two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and a living room, kitchen / dining area and cloakroom on the ground floor. The front windows look over the cove out to sea and the back windows look over a small and private back garden which is a sun trap in good weather. There is a small terrace at the front of the house, with a table and chairs, ideal for an al fresco meal or a well earned glass of wine whilst watching the many activities on the beach and on the sea. There is a BBQ in the back garden with garden chairs and a table.

About the location

Portmellon is located in South East Cornwall and situated just a short distance from Mevagissey. The beautiful sandy beach is surrounded by rocks either side.
