Character stone fully renovated cottage/Gite (dog friendly)

Two person Gite in the same landscaped gardens as our own house.
The garden is set on 3 terraces with stone steps leading down to the a saltwater heated pool. The house has panoramic views of the Lot river.
You would share the garden with us but have your own private gated terrace and use
of swimming pool.

There is a lovely large terrace outside which is private and safe for dogs (railing and gated) that is ideal for eating Al fresco, your own barbecue. French widows take you into the downstairs area.
The downstairs is open plan kitchen with oak island, with stools.
A fully equipped high quality kitchen with white quartz worktop. Cooker and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher.
In the lounge area there is a very comfy 2 seater sofa, and a back friendly supportive leather chair. Television and sideboard. Travertine tiled floor throughout this floor.
There is an artisan made oak staircase to go upstairs.
On this first floor there is a large double divan bed ( quality back friendly mattress), 3 draw chest of drawers, a clothes hanging pine unit and a comfy modern chair and area for reading.
A separate Italian shower room with stone sink and a separate toilet room with stone sink and pretty mosaic surround ( by Melody).
Our Gite has been beautifully renovated with quality natural materials and is eco friendly with a eco friendly Norwegian wood burning stove and eco heat pump which has air conditioning/heating so comfortable to stay all year around.
There are numerous places to park, choice of 3 spaces outside of our garage and one in the garden, could accommodate a medium sized camper van.
We have many lovely walks along the river right from our Gite and many others to explore nearby.

About the location

The house is situated in the beautiful Causses de Quercy national park with the famous Beaux Village Saint-Cirque-Lapopie only 5 minutes away. the heritage site `Peche Merle" prehistoric caves only 15 mins.

There are many lovely villages that surround us where you will find many lovely restaurants where you can drink and taste the amazing local french produce and wines. There is also an excellent restaurant/bar just a 10 minute walk from the house and a community village shop which sells great french local produce and wines and delicious cheeses and other gourmet local foods.
The river Lot running through our valley offers many opportunities from wild swimming, picturesque walks and also paddle boarding, canoe and boat hire within 10 minutes walk. there are many chateaux to visit and great food and clothes markets each week in all the nearby towns.
You do need a car as public transport is at least 20 minutes walk away, bus to Cahors and Figeac.
