If children are involved it is better to start from the shoreline. However, if they swim then the dock is ideal. Boats can tie -up to the Dock.
It is a minimal 2 1/2 hours drive NORTH from Victoria. HORNE LAKE is well signposted on the main Highway North. Splitting the journey is suggested e.g. Stopping half-way at a delightful town called Chemainus.
Special instructions should you choose to try Horne lake. Family has priority, but it has generally been made available. Early booking is necessary.
Solar Panel Electricity for Winter. However, summer electricity is not really necessary.
Three level property:
Level 1 - Cottage and Bunkhouse - BBQ Area
Level 2 - Very flat secondary area that has a separate natural outdoor BBQ Fire Pit (subject to Fire Regulations), and a cozy swing & canopied retreat (readers privacy/delight).
Level 3 - Waterfront and Dock.
About the location
Provincial Park on your doorstep, (about 1/2 a mile), with natural caves and Provincial campsite as a tourist attraction.
