300 year old Former village sweet shop

Our beautiful cottage is almost 360 years old. over the years its been a village sweet shop, a coal merchants and even a diary managers house. it sits directly across from the village cricket pitch and the grande union canal.

the house has been recently renovated and has 3 upstairs bedrooms, a double bedroom and 2 children's rooms, the downstairs snug has a sofa bed and can easily be used as a 4th bedroom .

the house is incredibly spacious with a large front room which features a bay window looking out onto the blackbirds moor and cricket pitch, it also features the original fireplace and log burner. a 50 inch flat screen tv and some seriously comfortable sofas.
The newly fitted kitchen diner has a breakfast bar with stool seating for 4, electric hob ovan, and a twin ovan and microwave. there are bi fold doors that lead out onto the patio

in the centre of the house is the snug, or the music room. it has a sofa/sofa bed as well as a record player and DJ decks and plenty of vinyl records to listen to.

The house has 2 bathroom, a main upstairs bathroom with roll top bath and aqualisa shower, and also a downstairs toilet and laundry room

the front garden has ample parking for 3 cars as well as an electric car charger

the back garden has a large patio with a day bed, a table and chairs and a BBQ

About the location

Boxmoor village is like a little oasis. its surrounded by beautiful nature reserve giving the feeling of seclusion, but at the same time you are walking distance from the train station with quick trains to London, you can also walk to hemel hempstead town centre with lots of shops and markets . plus there are great pubs that are less than a minutes walk from the door. right opposite the house is blackbirds moor and the local cricket pitch. great on weekends to grab a pint from the pub and sit and watch the match. we are also opposite the grande union canal with terrific bike rides in both directions
