Villa Paraiso (Paradise!) is located in Benahavis a picturesque village, famous for its gastronomy, golf courses and castle ruins and swimmable canyon. An 8-minute stroll from the village centre (700m), where there are shops, tapas bars & restaurants where you can relax, dine and soak up the sun in the delightful village square and enjoy being part of the welcoming local community.

About the location

Benahavís – Authentic Charm in the Heart of Andalucía

Benahavís is a traditional whitewashed Andalusian village, just five miles inland from the coast and perfectly placed between Marbella and Estepona. Often called the “Dining Room of Andalucía” thanks to its remarkable number of restaurants and catering school within this small village. It is both picturesque and lively, offering the perfect base to explore the food, culture, and outdoor life of southern Spain.

The setting is breath-taking surrounded by rivers, forests, and mountain trails. It’s a paradise for nature lovers, with opportunities for walking, hiking, canyoning, river or sea swimming, cycling, horse riding, padel, tennis, and golf. Nearly half of the land here is protected green zone, making it a haven of clean air and open spaces.

Right on your doorstep, just 200 metres walk from the villa, you’ll find the dramatic Cañón de las Angosturas gorge, with the Charco de las Mozas - a beautiful freshwater swimming hole perfect for a refreshing dip. A lit walkway for evening strolls and a wooden bridge leading to a scenic aqueduct trail. The village also boasts a stunning leafy park with Roman ruins and outdoor exercise area.

Life in Benahavís is relaxed yet cosmopolitan, with a welcoming community, weekly markets, and colourful local festivals. You’ll be close to luxury golf courses and beaches, while still enjoying peaceful mountain views. The active community offers classes, trips and events, which help you mingle with the locals and feel right at home.

From here you can easily explore the wider region - Marbella’s historic old town, the glamour of Puerto Banús, the murals of Estepona, the white village of Istán, stunning Ronda, Alhambra Palace in Granada (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Sevilla or even Gibraltar, Tarifa or hop over to Morocco or ski in Sierra Nevada for the day. Hiking enthusiasts can take on La Concha mountain or walk the endless beachfront promenades nearby.

Getting here is simple: The villa is almost equidistant from Málaga and Gibraltar airports, both around 50 minutes away, with easy options for car hire, taxis, buses, or private transfers.
