Edinburgh Ivy House

Large comfortable house, with excellent facilities and connections in North Edinburgh.

House has two double bedrooms, a large kitchen diner, large living room, bathroom with bath/shower, and front and back gardens. Gardens are very secluded and green and get the sun until 7pm at night at least.

Some of the pictures I've uploaded look a bit fuzzy because I've copied them from our Airbnb listing, where you can find some reviews from previous guests (we occasionally rent our spare room).

About the location

The house is located on Ferry Road in Drylaw, North Edinburgh, a quiet suburban area.

You can get buses from a stop 1 minute away to Edinburgh City Centre (15 minutes), Leith (15 minutes), Edinburgh airport (30 minutes), the sea at Silverknowes (10 minutes), or Stockbridge (5/10 minutes). You can also take direct buses to Rosslyn - Rosslyn Chapel.

The house is about 20 minutes walk from the sea promenade, and really close to the cycle path which will take you to the city (20 minutes), Leith (15 minutes), or if you really want to go for a big ride, onto the Union Canal, and Linlithgow and Glasgow!

Walking distance, you can get to Stockbridge, Inverleith Park, or the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens in 20-30 minutes, the Dean Village in 30 minutes, and its only 10-15 minutes to the city centre from there..

Driving you can get anywhere in Edinburgh very easily, and also over to South Queensferry (20-25 minutes), Fife (30 minutes), and the Highlands (1hr30mins +!).

By the way, these are all real times, not the super optimistic times you get in a Estate Agents listings!
