Family friendly, expandable 4-bedroom home close to train station, shops and park in Epsom.
Our house sits right behind the local park and play area, with tennis courts and football pitches. Our garden is equipped with children’s swing set and small climbing frame, charcoal BBQ, and space to sit and relax. The driveway comfortably accommodates two estate cars, or three midsize/small cars with careful parking.
Inside we have a large family kitchen (awaiting refurbishment but still in pretty good working order). We have a range gas cooker, microwave and air fryer, Bluetooth speaker , a dining table that can accommodate up to 12 approximately when extended, and two fridges to store plenty of party food!
Our living room is cosy with a 65” tv, Netflix, prime and Disney.
Downstairs we have an office/play/bedroom space with a comfortable Murphy double bed, a shower bathroom and utility space with washing machine, tumble dryer and airing cupboard. We also have a garage with gym equipment (and 2nd fridge).
Upstairs we have three good sized bedrooms, two with king size beds and one currently a double but may be set up as double bunk beds shortly.the last bedroom is a small double sofa bed that can be made up. There is also the family bathroom with large bath.
We also have spare air beds, which could be used in two of the rooms for additional beds.
About the location
Epsom is approximately 35-45minutes train journey to London, with a choice of direct trains to London Waterloo, London Bridge and London Victoria. The train station is approxmately 5-10 minutes walk from our house. It’s a brilliantly easy journey into central London, with all of the capital’s fantastic attractions, but a lovely calm place to come back to in the evening. London itself has most things one could ask for- museums, history and theatre, to boat trips and art galleries.
Epsom has a long history of being a spa town and is home to the famous Epsom Derby in June. There are plenty of country walks, a large common to explore and is close to surrey hills walks too.
Epsom is a busy town in itself, with a range of shops easily accessible. It has central M&S and Waitrose supermarkets, a Lidl located at the edge of the town Centre (approximately 20min walk from our house) and larger supermarkets within 10 minute drives.
It has a weekly town market, Thursdays and Saturdays with a range of produce. It has two cinemas, multiple coffee shops and plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from.
For children there are several soft plays, a leisure Centre , multiple playgrounds and a couple of duck ponds to visit. In an easy 5 minute drive, or a 30 minute walk, a favorite attraction is the Epsom Hobbledown theme park, a brilliant day out rain or shine!. Close by you have several other play farms approximately 30 mins drive and several national trust properties to visit. Epsom is nearby to Kingston upon Thames, with the beautiful Hampton Court Palace to explore, and a large shopping town excellent for teenage shoppers.
