Spacious 4 bed family townhouse with garden 10 mins walk from Angoulême city centre

Hello! We own a charming rustic 4 bed townhouse in the city of Angoulême with a luscious south-facing garden.

We have two double-bedrooms, a baby/child's room plus an office with a double IKEA pull-out bed. There is a bathroom upstairs with a bath/shower and an extra toilet downstairs in the garage which is accessible via the utility room.

We have a new well equipped kitchen which is very pleasant to cook in and a spacious living room with a large table, sofa, arm chairs and tv. The south-facing garden is accessible via two different doors and there are fruit trees (figs, peaches, plums) a wisteria plant overhead, egg chair, sun lounger and more for spending quality time outside. Expect good sunshine and heat in the summer!

About the location

We're in a very peaceful area and within comfortable walking distance to the city centre. There are bakeries, supermarkets, daily market and much more all very close by.

The house is a 15/20min walk from the train station and a car is not required for visiting (unless you have mobility constraints).

Easily accessible via train: Under 2hrs from Paris (Montparnasse line), 3 hours from Paris CDG (direct train), and 30mins from Bordeaux. Poitiers airport also close (40 min direct train). There is also a direct 30 minute train to Cognac.

Angoulême is a UNESCO creative city, thanks to its world-famous comic book festival (Festival International de la BD) and rich, exciting art scene. There are art galleries, museums and regular pop up exhibitions/shops throughout the city. There are also colourful murals to discover all over the city - keep your eyes peeled! Angoulême also has a rich literary tradition and history and you may enjoy visiting its famous paper factory and museum. Its cathedral (recently restored front) is also a sight to behold.

The old part of the city (20 minute walk) is a labyrinth of quaint, cobbled streets. There you will find all manner of bars, restaurants, cafes and artisanal shops to enjoy.
