About the location
Small village location, 3 miles from the coastal town of Hornsea. Bus stop and Garden Centre a short walk away.
Hornsea is a typical small seaside town, it offers the nearest supermarket, walks along the prom, also the start of the Trans Pennine Trail which finishes on the west coast at Southport. There is also a good museum (open Easter till end October - dates vary each year) with displays of Victorian/Edwardian country life, and probably the largest collection of the famous Hornsea Pottery.
Beverley is not far away and is a very fine market town, also boasting some fine buildings including a wonderful Minster and St Mary’s Catholic Church, as well as East Riding Museum and Art Gallery, there is also a theatre and cinema complex.
Hull offers several Museums and the Ferens Art Gallery which are free. Also 2 theatres and the City Hall.
The nearest railway station is at Beverley from where you can change at Hull for the train to London, also trains to the west of the country.
