Bright family home in a quaint, walkable neighborhood in Los Angeles

Our home is a bright, 3 bedroom house with a nicely sized backyard. A detached studio serves as our office and laundry space.

The house is an L shape with lots of windows and sliding glass doors that let light in. We have a master bedroom with a California King bed, and two children's rooms with single beds. One of these rooms has a trundle bed allowing for two to sleep in that room.

We are big home cooks and our kitchen is stocked with every item you could possibly need—including high quality knives and pots and pans, a Nespresso machine and french press, and an outdoor grill. We have a dining room table that seats 6, and also a lovely outdoor dining table.

Our home is decorated with modern art and well-designed furniture.

Please note that we are renovating our house over time and the kitchen and main bathroom are basic in design and utility. We do not have a dishwasher. We have kids toys such as legos and board games, but our house is no longer suited for crawling babies and toddlers.

About the location

Our home is in Atwater Village - a quaint, desirable neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles. We live one block away from the village high street. At the end of our block is a lovely Italian restaurant. Keep walking, and you'll find numerous locally owned shops (gifts, books, clothing, wine, butcher), coffee shops and restaurants. Restaurants range from taco shops to a sushi restaurant with a Michelin starred chef. There is a farmers market every Sunday two blocks away.

We are directly next to the popular neighborhood of Silver Lake, where you'll find many more shops and restaurants.

We are a 5 minute drive to Griffith Park, one of the largest urban parks in the U.S.; a 15 minute drive to downtown L.A.; a 25 minute drive to the Angeles National Forest for hiking; a 35 minute drive to the Santa Monica beach; 45 minute drive to Disneyland; a 20 minute drive to Universal Studios. Getting around in a car is best in Los Angeles, although buses and the subway can take you to some locations. Uber / Lyft are very accessible.
