Beautiful period house in The Hague, The Netherlands
We are an English family who live in this lovely period Dutch home in walking distance to the city centre of The Hague (Den Haag). The house dates from 1918 and has lots of original features and very high ceilings. It is spacious and light and can easily accommodate a large family. There is a delightful garden with mature shrubs and outside dining area.
About the location
The Hague is a beautiful, international city which has world-class museums and art galleries, excellent shopping and is unusual because it is close to a wide sandy coastline (20 minutes by bike from the house). You can reach most areas of the city by bike or tram. If you want to travel to other Dutch cities and attractions they are easily accessible by train (mainline: less than 10 minute walk from the house) including Amsterdam (approx: 40 mins), Rotterdam (approx: 20 mins), Leiden (approx: 10 mins), Delft (approx: 10 mins). You can easily get to the house without a car because the train connections are so good.
