About the location

We are surrounded by rural farmland in this highland glen, in the rolling foothills of the Cairngorm plateau and at the Eastern edge of the cairngorm National Park. Local castles include the ruins of Glenbuchat and Kildrummy as well as Corgarff. The North east area is steeped inof history with its Pictish carved stones and many castles , baronial homes and gardens. You can walk and cycle for miles from the doorstep in to the Hills and forests. A well stocked local shop and bar ( 3 miles). Half hour plus to variety of country towns with more facilities. Summer is time for traditional Highland Games and Agricultural shows. Typical highland wildlife can be seen in this peaceful area. For music lovers there are events and sessions at local halls and festivals further afield and also opportunity to join up with local artists activities.
