Renovated boulangerie in centre of small French village

We are situated in the centre of a small village in Burgundy. The house is open plan, with a ground floor modern kitchen and utility room with toilet and a back door to the garden. Up seven steps to the second level which has a family room, two bedrooms and shower room. A further four steps leads to a salon, a study/ studio and another bathroom. The house is light and airy and, we think, comfortable. We have English and French tv and fast internet (fibre optic). We have a fenced in garden at the side and back. And friendly French and English neighbours.

About the location

Central Burgundy is a beautiful, pastoral area, with rolling hills, farmland and vineyards. It’s an historic area with many lovely Romanesque churches, picturesque villages and towns, and, maybe most important, it is unspoiled. There are no shops in our village, but there are good super markets, other shops and numerous great restaurants within ten miles or so. We are surrounded by many walking and cycling paths, ranging from easy to more challenging. Charolais cattle farming surrounds us too, and the famous Burgundy vineyards are about thirty minutes away. Our nearest train station is a forty minute drive where you can whizz on the TGV to Paris in an hour and a half.
