About the location
The house is situated on a fairly quiet road opposite a school, in a suburb of Chester called Hoole. It is about a 5-minute walk to the local high street, which is regularly identified as one of the best high streets in the country with local, independent shops as well as a couple of supermarkets, 6 bars, award-winning restaurants and cafes / coffee shops. At the end of the road is a beautiful park with tennis courts, bowling green and a children`s play area. It is a 20 to 25-minute walk into Chester city centre which is chock-full of tourist activities, shops, bars, theatre, cinema etc. Chester has a lot of history, dating back to Roman times and is famous for its city walls, the ruins of a Roman amphitheatre and the Rows in the shopping area. Chester racecourse is on the edge of the city and a river runs through the city with boats for hire, as well as other water activities.
It is a 45-minute train journey to Liverpool, about 1 hour to Manchester. The hills and mountains of North Wales are easily accessible by car for day trips and there is a wide range of beaches within a car journey both along the North Wales coast and in Wirral (from as little as 30 minutes).
