We bought the view
Tucked away at the back end of a housing estate and opening onto green fields with extensive views of the Conwy Valley and the edge of Snowdonia it can feel like stepping into Narnia when you enter through the front door, walk into the kitchen or the bedroom and look down the garden.
The house is modest, but has everything needed for a comfortable existence, a double/twin bedroom (2 spare rooms currently used as offices will be locked), bathroom, decent kitchen and comfortable lounge, with a conservatory to make the most of the view.
Step out of the kitchen onto the decking and few steps down gives access to the garden with a range of seating options to further enjoy the tranquility and the view.
About the location
We have arranged things so that we take every opportunity to enjoy the utterly beautiful views and the tranquility whilst being only a 15 minute walk from the world heritage town of Conwy and it`s medieval walls and castle. This thriving little town sits close the estuary of the Conwy River and is bridged by two classic feats of Victorian engineering, well worth a visit in their own right.
Many of the shops are locally owned and Conwy is a bit of a foodie`s paradise with artisan bakers, chocolatiers, cheese and wine shops and a range of independent pubs and restaurants.
A 10 minute walk will take you into the Snowdonia National Park and not long after that you can be in open country with miles of quiet hill walking in one of the quietest parts of the park.
The nearest beach, Conwy, is 5 minutes by car and there are plenty of other options within a few minutes drive.
Further afield, but still less than half an hour`s drive, lies Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) itself or the `Mother of Wales` - Anglesey, across yet another iconic feat of Victorian engineering, the great Thomas Telford`s Menai Suspension Bridge.
Llandudno offers more of the classic tourist trappings as well as a large theatre, supermakets, indoor leisure facilities and other attractions. With the finest example of a Victorian esplanade in Wales (the UK?) it is also a splendid location for further visists.
We love living here, and even when the weather is less clement (it is North Wales!) there`s plenty to do
