Spacious Edwardian House

Our home is a spacious Edwardian semi-detached house which retains many original features including fireplaces and floor tiles. It is located on a very quiet street which is only a ten minute walk into the centre of the bustling market town of Ludlow. The house has parking for two cars and there is also on street parking available.

On the ground floor there are two living rooms which can be opened out into one large room. One of these rooms contains a double sofa bed. There is also a downstairs toilet. The large open plan kitchen/diner is the hub of family life on the sunny side of the house and has doors that open into the garden. On the second floor there is a room with a king sized bed and an ensuite shower room, a room with a double bed, and there is also a room with a single bed which has another single nested beneath it which can be pulled out. These can also be pushed together to make a small double. The family bathroom with an over-bath shower is also on this floor. On the third floor at the top of the house is the largest bedroom with a king sized bed.

About the location

It is impossible to describe all the delights of this remarkable medieval market town. Ludlow has over 900 years of history to discover in the streets and (over 500 listed) historic buildings, and is also surrounded by the beautiful countryside and rolling hills of South Shropshire and the borderlands of the Welsh Marches.
Ludlow has many events and festivals held throughout the year and it is also famed for the quality of its food and drink - showcased every September in the Ludlow Food and Drink Festival. Detailed information about all the town has to offer - from the 11th century castle and St Laurence’s church, to riverside and forest walks and the many cycling opportunities, to the Racecourse, Ludlow Brewery and so much more - can be found in the ’Guide to Ludlow’ at: Ludlow.org.uk

Ludlow is also a great base from which to visit many other places such as Hereford, Malvern and Shrewsbury and all the little towns and villages in between! The Long Mynd (area of outstanding natural beauty) and Acton Scott Historic Working Farm (great for all the family) in Church Stretton are well worth a visit, and there are two National Trust properties very close; Berrington Hall and Croft Castle.

And finally, a few quotes that indicate what a fabulous place Ludlow is!

"Has there ever been a visitor to Ludlow who hasn’t wished they lived there? " - Jeremy Paxman, 2009
" Ludlow....is probably the loveliest town in England with its hill of Georgian houses ascending from the river Teme to the great tower of the cross-shaped church..." - John Betjeman, 1943
" The Feathers Hotel (is) the finest building in the finest town in the finest swathe of England, .... the only place in England other than London where I ever want to live." Jonathan Meades, 2002
