About the location

Clayton West sits in the Eastern foothills of the Pennines. The nearest village is Denby Dale where you can get a train to Huddersfield or Sheffield. We are in beautiful walking countryside, surrounded by hills, woods and footpaths including the Kirklees Way. We are walking distance to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and close to Wakefield where you can visit the Hepworth Gallery and nearby the National Coal Mining Museum. The Kirklees light railways is located in Clayton West, a wonderful outing for children. Nearby is Cannon Hall Country park and farm, again a lovely spot for small children. We are also close to Holmfirth and York is a 45 minute drive. Leeds is half an hour away, Manchester an hour`s drive and Sheffield 45 minutes away. We are 45 minutes to the Peak District and well placed for day trips into the Yorkshire Dales.
