Large house in coastal location, big garden available Cowes week

A Victorian 4 bedroom house with two reception rooms and a large kitchen diner. The house retains much of its original character and has been updated for modern family living. The main reception room has an open fire and our second reception room opens onto the mature garden. At 50 metres long the garden has plenty of room to play and has a set of swings, sandpit and table and chairs for dining outside.

We have 6 bedrooms, 4 of which will be available to you with 2 double beds, 1
single, 1 children’s bed and a cot. The master bedroom has an en-suite and two of the bedrooms are 4m x 5m so there’s room to put a camp bed on the floor if you choose.

The house and garden are child friendly.

About the location

Emsworth is a historic market town very popular with sailors who enjoy the local moorings and sailing clubs. It is renowned for the high quality of the local restaurants and independent shops and positions itself as something of a foodie destination among the locals. You can’t help but enjoy a stroll around the milll pond watching the boats or perhaps a spot of crabbing.

We’d love to swap during October half term and for Cowes week 2022 so get in touch sooner rather than later if you’d like to visit for the racing.

We are on the edge of the Southdowns National Park and Chichester Harbour AONB. We have a great mix of rural walks (including the Kingley Vale nature reserve pictured) and seaside entertainment. Hayling Island is a 15 minute drive away where windsurfing was invented and the blue flag beaches are hugely popular with kite surfers and wind surfers alike.

Mountain biking is popular in nearby Queen Elizabeth Country Park and the Southdowns offer quiet well maintained roads for those who prefer road cycling.

Chichester and Portsmouth cities are both within half an hour drive or train journey. Chichester is an old Roman city with a famous festival theatre and Cathedral. Portsmouth’s historic dockyards are a great day out with the flagship HMS Nelson docked near Gunwharf Quays retail and dining attractions.

Our house is 6 minutes walk from the nearest train station with a connection to London, Winchester and Brighton.
