About the location

Linars is a rural/suburban village in Charente (supermaket, bakery..). Only 10 minutes from Angouleme (bus stop 100m) and surrounded by quiet countryside (river Charente 600 m, vineyards 200 m).

Lake with sandy supervised beach and playgrounds for children (5 Km). Numerous activities very close: fishing, water sports, walking trails, vineyards, Charente valley, distileries (Cognac 40 Km), Roman art, Museums and fine restaurants.

Charente river and Charente valley, lake with supervised beach in summer, vineyards of Cognac, Angoulême (french capital for comics and its roman cathedral, painted walls and museums).

Easy day trips: an hour`s drive to Perigord, Limoges, Bordeaux (world best wines), La Rochelle, Royan (famous beaches), Marennes (oysters).
