Our home is tranquil, private with rolling countryside, small villages, country walks though 20 mins from Norwich, City of Literature, with its historic cathedral, excellent shopping and restaurants. Just 40 mins to Southwold, archetypal seaside town, with the National Trust Protected Sandlings, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich forest close by. 25- 40 mins to the Norfolk Broads, Holt and north Norfolk coast. Our home has a mature garden to laze in with a swing in summer, and sheltered patio. Log burner in the winter, good wi-fi, New smart TV. 2 king size beds, one queen size, music room with piano and organ, retreat room and study. Galleried landing to watch sunsets.

Walk to the river and hear warblers, cuckoos in spring and even the bittern booming from RSPB Strumshaw. Buzzards, kestrels, barn owls, red kites, Hobby, greater spotted and green woodpeckers, skylarks, marsh buntings, all seen from our garden. Walking distance to two riverside pubs. We shop at nearby Beccles, a delightful market town with supermarket and local shops. Well known for antiques. Take a bike ride to Loddon for essentals.

About the location

Stately homes, beaches, award winning restaurants, flint cottages and ancient round tower churches. Cycling routes with woodlands and quiet countryside pubs. This is an area worth exploring and you may well fall in love with it, like many naturalists and artists have done. Norfolk and Suffolk - almost a state of mind.
