Woodend Barn, Lake District
Recently converted barn in the heart of the Lake District in the north of England. The barn is built from local stone and has been converted to a very high standard. Two double bedrooms and a small single make up the accommodation. Upstairs there is a lounge with log burning stove and amazing views over the fields and up onto the mountain.
Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen with large dining table looking out of the big glazed archway. Original stone floors in the kitchen benefit from underfloor heating.
About the location
Situated at the bottom of Blencathra, one of the finest mountains in the Lake District in the North West of England. The local town of Keswick is only 10 minutes by car and there is also a bus service from the bottom of the road less than five minutes walk away. Edinburgh is a two hour drive or there is a train service from Penrith which is 15 minutes away by car or bus.
The area is great for walking and has plenty of lakes to visit. We both run a lot on the hills and swim in the lakes in the summer.
