Arty modern three bed apartment in historic city of Edinburgh - available over summer hols/fringe festival

Hi! We have a three bed flat in central Edinburgh which we would like to offer as a swap for a family holiday or weekend break. We are looking to swaps for summer school hols July/August 2024 including the fringe festival.

It's the ideal opportunity to visit this amazing historical city which is a UNESCO world heritage site. If you want to come in August during the Edinburgh fringe festival then this is a great time to come to the worlds largest arts festival on your doorstep, when accommodation can be prohibitively expensive especially for families. I work in theatre and Ian is an artist so we can provide lots of recommendations for things to see.

Outside of August there are many things to see including the famous royal mile, Edinburgh castle, Edinburgh zoo and some fantastic restaurants and bars. It is also an easy jumping off point for visiting Loch Lomond, Perthshire, or the castles and coats of East Lothian.

Our lovely stylish home in Edinburgh is within walking distance of local shops, pubs, cafes and a great park, and a beach with a swim . It is a 20/30 minute walk to the city centre or there are plenty of buses.

The flat itself is on the 1st floor and is across two floors. On the 1st floor there is a large master bedroom with king-sized bed, a newly renovated bathroom with bath and shower, a stylish living room with smart TV and a newly built well equipped kitchen and a separate dining area. Upstairs in the loft conversion are two further very spacious and light bedrooms with vleux windows. One bedroom has a single bed which pulls out into a king size and the other has two singles which can be stacked or separate.

The flat is child friendly with plenty of toys and kids equipment your disposal as well as the main essential for teenagers- high speed wifi! We don't have pets and I have dog/cat allergies so are unable to accommodate sadly.

There is a large garden (you have to go out down communal path to reach it) with a trampoline and decking if the weather allows.

About the location

We are in Trinity, which is central but quiet and residential. About halfway between Leith and city centre. You can walk to most of the city's sights via off road cycle paths or get a bus. There is free on street parking. The Royal Botanic gardens are a ten minute walk away and a real city oasis. We will provide lots of local recommendations for the best pubs and cafes around the area.
