Harbour House is one of a row of colourful 19th century houses situated right on Portree’s historic harbour. There are fabulous sea views from all front facing rooms and you can make the most of the location with your own private ‘sitting out’ space on the water’s edge or wander up to sample the restaurants and cafes of Portree that are just a stone’s throw away.
About the location
Portree is Skye’s main town and is home to a whole range of cafes, shops and restaurants, all within a short walk of the house. In the summer months wander down the pier and you’ll find Just Hooked, which sells fresh seafood straight off the boats or you can choose to take one of the many excellent boat trips which take you to see the eagles, seals and other wildlife. Peek inside a pub or two at the weekend and you’ll often find there are musicians playing a Scottish reel or two. If you want to stretch your legs then a walk from the door around the peninsula or up the Meall and you’ll have stunning views across to Raasay and the Cuillins. And if you fancy venturing further afield then Portree is a superb base to visit everything Skye has to offer.
