La Palomina

We have a typical Andalucian patio house in the old town, five minutes` walk from Plaza de Espana. We have upgraded parts of the house but kept its centuries-old, white-walled charm. You feel secluded but part of a living village.

Off the patio on the ground floor there is a sitting area and two bedrooms, one of which is en suite. There is a modern kitchen across the patio, plus another sitting room and a shower room. We also have a large roof terrace with views across the countryside and to the sea five miles away. A retractable sun shade covers part of this terrace.

About the location

Vejer is one of the most beautiful white villages in Andalucia, full of narrow alleys and hidden squares. It is a very Spanish place but is well equipped for tourists with restaurants, bars and shops. The area has a growing reputation for good food.

Vejer is well situated to visit Cadiz, Jerez and the Costa de la Luz towards Tarifa.

The local, Atlantic beaches are superb; long stretches of sand and wild dunes in a largely unspoilt, rural area. It is famed for surfing and walking, but during the summer is a favourite destination for families and swimming.
