Lovely Victorian house in Lymington

It’s in a sweet row of painted Victorian houses, in a nice road of detached and terraced mainly Victorian homes.

It has a small front garden and is open plan from the back of the extension to the front of the house. It is very light with 2 big veluxes at the garden end and bifold doors which open right out onto a very sweet south facing garden with a lawn. There is also a type of flat glass canopy over the decking at the back of the house and a back entrance at the end of the garden.

It has a small entrance hall and loo and you open the door to the reception room (possibly dining room), then lounge area, with a lovely woodburner, wooden flooring, then the kitchen with large country style warm stone tiling with a big island and dining area, which goes out onto the garden. Painted white stairs go up from the lounge to a landing, with new neutral, textured carpet to 2 bedrooms. Bedroom one is at the front of the house with a nice aspect of the road/Victorian houses opposite. It has freshly sanded and oiled wooden flooring with an original pretty fireplace. Bedroom 2 is smaller and at the back, but south facing, with a nice view of the pretty garden. The bathroom is on this floor at the back. There are stairs leading to the top room from the landing, which I think will be closed. The landing, Bedroom 2 and stairs to top floor have been newly carpeted and the house has been freshly painted white throughout. The first set of stairs from the ground floor to the first floor are quite steep though.

About the location

It’s a great area, very close to the High St and Waitrose is literally five minutes away, by foot.

It’s ideal for the great outdoors in the New Forest with wonderful walks there and the Solent and the sea is close by. Lymington also has a railway station, so good access to London and a car ferry to the Isle of Wight for further adventures. Great for Southampton and Bournemouth and all they have to offer and great access from Lymington for beautiful Dorset and the Isle of Purbeck too.

Lymington is a very pretty and lively Georgian town and has a renowned weekly market and plenty of cafes and eateries to be found hidden in the Forest also.

Parking is in the street and not usually a problem and there is always parking in the street close by, round the corner.
