This delightful home is situated in the bustling market town of Kendal, served by lots of independent shops and great local restaurants within walking distance.

An open plan lounge and kitchen leads onto a small balcony with delightful views over the surrounding fells. There is one double bedroom, a small single with an upstairs mezzanine bedroom (open plan) that has a further single bedroom. Good wifi and centrally heated.

About the location

The Lake District National Park and England’s highest mountains are the doorstep with a vast range of walks and activities for all ages and abilities. Windermere is six miles away with its bustling lake, steamers, shops and restaurants. Visit beautiful arts and craft sites such as Blackwell, track down the homes of Wordsworth or Ruskin or visit one the many national trust properties or open gardens.

Altenatively find a waterfall walk such as Aira Force or seek out peace and solitude in one of the more remote dales such as Longsleddale or in the eastern hills above Ullswater where eagles fly and red deer roam. If wildlife delights look out for the protected homes of our annual Osprey visitors.

Further afield wonderful villages and towns such as Grasmere and Keswick provide an insight into Lakeland many traditional crafts, industries and sport.

Kendal is only two stops from Oxenholme on the West Coast Rail Line from London (journey time can be less than three hours). Direct trains from Oxenholme reach Manchester Airport in around an hour and a half.
