Trullo

Welcome to the Valle D`Itria; a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of the famous stone walled trulli!

This trullo is currently being used as our holiday home, being in our family for generations. It was originally used as a farmhouse and olive store but has been restored and updated to modern standards of comfort with air conditioning, internet and a pool.

About the location

The Valle D`Itria is a beautiful area full of many picturesque hilltop towns. Cisternino is particularly lively in the summer with may activities for tourists - religious festivals, music festivals, food festivals, street markets, fireworks and lots of sunshine. There are many important archaeological areas nearby and of course miles of sandy beached to enjoy a short (about 15km) drive away.

Our home however is a short 10 minute walk from the hilltop town and so is quiet and private.

If you are driving it is an excellent base to explore the entire area of Puglia, with many tourist attractions within easy reach, it is ideal for children with Egnazia Acquapark nearby, Castellana Caves and a Go-Karting track in Fasano - not top mention lots and lots of Gelato!

The two nearest airports, Brindisi and Bari, are well served and both are easy to obtain rental cars.
