About the location
It`s about 1 mile by foot or bike to Bournemouth`s endless sandy beach. You can walk via Kings Park and Woodland Walk to the cliff top and then down the `zig zag` path to the beach. Boscombe beach has a trim trail, rocks for kids to climb, a pier, a Harvester and a trendy bar and restaurant called Urban Reef.
We are also close to the train station, many bus routes and supermarkets. Boscombe high street is a ten minute walk with various shops, Boscanova Cafe, a library, a quirky pub/ live music venue (Cellar bar/ Chaplins) and the O2 academy.
At the end of our street is Kings Park which includes children`s playgrounds, a skate park, Park run on Saturdays, indoor soft play and Bournemouth football stadium.
As well as the stunning beach Bournemouth has an oceanarium, a multiplex cinema, bowling, the Russel cotes museum, many restaurants, the Pavilion theatre/ Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth International Centre, Littledown swimming pool, several lovely `chines` (wooded, linear parks running from the town to the seafront) and Hengistbury Head nature reserve.
Family activities in the surrounding area include Farmer Palmers, Moors Valley country park with a woodland play trail, Splashdown waterpark, Snowtrax dry skiing, the Odeon and Paultons Park (with Pepper Pig World).
If you prefer to get away from it all the conurbation is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with easy access to the Purbecks, Dorset and the New Forest.
