Beautiful home away from the crowds a short walk from the beach - Spetses Island, Greece

This stone house has been in our family for years. It is beautiful and has been recently updated. It has 2 double bedroom with ensuite bathrooms. One family bathroom and two further bedrooms one with bunk beds which is furnished for children. There are also beds in the attic. There is a very large open plan kitchen cum sitting room. It has two main terraces one at the back which opens from the kitchen and one at the front which opens from the sitting room. It is 10 miles from the town of Spetses. The house is fully equipped with all mod cons including air conditioning. Ag Anarghari has just one taverna which is situated on the beach. At the end of the sandy/pebble beach is a water sports centre where you can rent windsurfs, go water skiing etc. Cars are not allowed on the island. A bus comes regularly and there are scooters to hire. It is an idyllic spot with a large garden with olive and pine trees built on a slope.

About the location

Spetses is a beautiful green pine island set in the Argolic Gulf. It is about a mile from the Pelyponnese. Cars can be hired from the mainland to visit the ancient sites of Epidaurus, Mycenae which are just over an hours drive away. The island has 2 museums, an abundance of restaurants with a good night life. It is a Athenian resort rather than a tourist island. The house is situated away from the town in a quiet hamlet. Spetses is noted for the beauty of its crystal clear water.
