16th century cottage

Cosy, spacious, family-friendly house with a garden and plenty of parking. Well equipped kitchen with large table. Log burner, piano, toys for children and home cinema / games room with 120-inch screen. There is a 4.5 x 2.5m "swimming pool" (large paddling pool) in summer. A short walk to the village playground/football pitch and shop/post office. From our front gate is a footpath across fields to a traditional pub. Our cats Milly & Rolo come and go as they please but would like to be fed once a day. Our chickens need feeding daily but offer free eggs in return!

We are a professional couple, experienced home-swappers, reliable and conscientious and would look after your home.

About the location

Broadclyst is a pretty English village just 5 miles from Exeter. It dates back to the 11th century, with some interesting historical buildings to visit, including a working water mill, a 14th century cob cottage and a stately home (all National Trust). Buses run regularly in to Exeter, where you can explore the city`s underground passages, cathedral, museum, shops and historic quayside. Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are nearby; the Devon coastline forms part of the Jurassic Coast with both sandy and pebbly beaches, and plenty of opportunities for watersports.
