A beautifully converted detached barn in Kent

Nunfield Barn is a beautifully converted detached barn with a large front garden and a back patio in a semi rural area neighbouring on orchards. It is located on a quiet country lane but with very easy and close asccess to the motorways. We have three bedrooms, all with double beds . There is a bathroom with shower over the bath. There is also a separate toilet downstairs. The barn has a very large living room with a wood burning stove and floor to ceiling windows looking over the garden. There is another separate sitting room with stairs leading upstairs to the bedrooms and doors to a back patio. The kitchen has an electric stove and a dining table and chairs and a washing machine. We have lived in the house for twenty seven years so is very homely, spacious and comfortable . There is a large garden, an above ground pool and a private driveway and parking for cars.

About the location

It is a semi rural area with a number of orchards about but there are other houses neighbouring ours. A car is fairly essential. There is an excellent village shop and butcher in the nearby village of Stockbury just over a mile away and easy access to the motorways (M2) and M20 within a few minutes drive and a few miles. We are 10 minutes from Rainham Kent station from where there are 2 trains an hour direct to London Victoria and London St Pancras (50 minutes). We are 40 minutes drive from Ebbsfleet and Ashford International Train terminal for trains to Paris and Brussels and an hours drive from Dover for walks on the cliffs or ferries to France. We are also half an hours drive to the historic city of Canterbury and slightly further to Faversham and popular Whitstable . Spectacular Leeds Castle is a 20 minute drive and the old city of Rochester a similar distance too. We are also a 45 minute drive to historic Greenwich (35miles) and there is now a direc train to Greenwich from Rainham taking 1 hour 20 minutes.
