Dales Village Cottage

Our holiday home is a charming, traditional stone built cottage, nestled in the beautiful village of Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales - the Dales playing host to the Grand Depart in the 2014 Tour de France and the increasingly popular Tour de Yorkshire. Grassington also hosts the annual Grassington Festival celebrating arts and music each June, a 1940's weekend every September and the famous Christmas Dickensian Festival for two weekends in December.

The cottage is a short walk to the restaurants, tea rooms and pubs that Grassington has to offer, as well as the stunning Yorkshire Dales countryside - perfect for walkers. There is also a village store, pharmacy, post office, Indian restaurant, fish and chip shop and bakery as well as many lovely gift shops.

Lovingly renovated and decorated in a traditional, shabby chic style throughout, this deceptively spacious holiday home has been furnished to a high standard whilst retaining many of its original features. Downstairs, the cosy living room has an open fire - perfect for winter evenings, and a traditional farmhouse style kitchen.
The kitchen has access to a small rear yard paved in Yorkshire stone, with patio furniture available to use.
Three bedrooms sleep four adults and two children. On the first floor, there is a spacious master bedroom and children's bedroom with bunk beds and cot, plus family bathroom - with modern over bath shower.

The attic is home to a stylish and modern double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Our cottage is child friendly with lots of toys and books.

Grassington is about a twenty minute drive to Skipton, 50 minutes from Harrogate and 90 minutes from York. There are bus links to these and all neighbouring towns and villages. This is the perfect place for a romantic retreat, family holiday, activity filled break or simply somewhere to recharge your batteries and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales.

Unfortunately, due to allergies, we are unable to swap with anybody who has cats or dogs.
