Peaceful break in the beautiful Peak District

Our house is located in the centre of the village and was built in the 1850s. We have a beautiful, enclosed two tiered private garden, with tree house, summerhouse, BBQ, 14 foot trampoline and pond. The house is very spacious and tastefully furnished with a large dining kitchen, snug and adult lounge (both with log burners), 4 good sized bedrooms (1 en-suite) and a family bathroom. The bathrooms have both been replaced during Lockdown with large walk in showers in each.

We will have a good spring clean before guests arrive. We like to think we are clean but the house is lived in (comes with three children). We know you will find the house comfortable though, and hope that you will feel welcome and have a peaceful break with your family.

We have a cat who will need feeding (she has a cat flap), a fish and four free range chickens who roam the garden (you are welcome to the eggs, as well as fresh raspberries if the season is right!).

We also have a beautiful black working Labrador whom we prefer to bring with us. She has impeccable manners with cats and chickens, and we can keep her in your utility/kitchen if you prefer. If this isn`t possible, she can stay with our friends.

About the location

We live in Crich, a small village close to the Peak District, Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton, Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Derbyshire Dales etc. The village has all the amenities you could wish for - a great butchers, artisan bakery / cafe, Indian restaurant etc.
