Fell View Cottage - Yorkshire Dales
With two double bedded bedrooms, and one single bedroom. We live in a beautiful,grade two listed stone cottage in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Linton has a green, river and restaurant Pub.Half a mile from Grassington, it is a fabulous location for walking, and from which to visit Real England. 3/4 hour from Leeds/Bradford airport or a train ride from Manchester airport to Skipton, drive 15 mins to Linton. Our pretty south facing house is situated on the Dales Way Walk in a 17th century village. It is a sunny, traditional stone 17th Century Yorkshire Dales Cottage, with stairs in odd places, with beautiful country views. Wooden garden room with table for 6, large lovely totally secluded,south facing, garden, quietly overlooking fields and fells. The cottage garden has un-even surfaces and steps. The house is old, with steps between sections, and stairs to the upper floor, it has two double bedrooms, one with double bed, other with Queen size bed in bedroom with mullioned windows. Single bed in study. Two bathrooms with showers over baths and toilets. WiFi. Sitting room mixes old and new, has mullioned windows, two settees, TV/DVD/i-player, lovely 1650s fire place and wood burning stove and beams. Kitchen with table for 4. Gas central heating. There is a walk over waterfalls to Grassington.Country cottage not smart but relaxed. Cars can be hired in Skipton or the airport.Parking by the green. Sometimes parking is by the road. You`d love it here. Ideal for a gloriously quiet, safe, walking holiday.
About the location
Very quietly situated in a small village, with a Pub, among limestone hills and dales. Twenty mins walk to Grassington. Fifteen mins. by car to Skipton. Surrounded by farm land with views of hills. Good walking country. You can walk from the village in all directions. Lovely waterfalls close by. Malham Cove and Tarn in one direction, with Bolton Abbey and Ilkley in another direction. On the dales way. A walkers` paradise. Park beside the Pub with restaurant, by village green. We have all the OS maps of the area. Dark skies for star watching. Lake District, or York, a couple of hours drive away. A good base for touring the dales. I am sorry but Keith has an allergy to dog hair so we cannot accept dogs. We can look after your cats.
