National Trust Getaway
Marsden is a lovely village on the edge of West Yorkshire. There are local shops in the village along with a few great pubs serving real ale and good food. The village is a ten minute walk along the canal.
The house is an extended cottage with large gardens. Great for sitting and relaxing but also good for children with plenty of space to play. We have bikes available to borrow should you need to during your stay.
The house is in a perfect position for those who enjoy walking. The Kirklees Way passes through the garden of the property and the Pennine Way is about 15 minutes walk away. You have great views to enjoy from the house and gardens. There are many cycle routes in the area along with golf courses, equestrian facilities and tennis clubs.
