Newly built eco house near city centre - Nottingham

Our newly built eco house, named The Green House, has been an exciting adventure for us. We have downsized from an old 4 bed Victorian house to this very different home. We have only moved a little way along the same street so all the neighbours are familiar as is the neighbourhood.
Our house is timber built and fully insulated. We have triple glazed windows, solar panels, solar batteries and 2 small integrated air source heat pumps. The rooms are heated and cooled by means of air ducts located in the ceilings. It is extremely comfortable and surprisingly spacious.
It has 3 floors - the ground floor entrance has a porch and hall way, one bedroom and an ensuite bathroom. The first floor is open plan, kitchen, dining and living room. The top floor has one bedroom which we use as a yoga, music and painting studio. This too has an ensuite bathroom. Outside there is a small patio, garden and garden room.

About the location

We are only just over 1 mile from the city centre.
Nottingham is of course known throughout the world for the famous legend of Robin Hood and Nottingham Forest F.C. The city is a thriving with creative places and many attractions including the castle, caves, art galleries, museums, historical sites, interesting architecture etc.

You can experience the exciting city life but also visit the beautiful English countryside where some fantastic walks and history can be found. We are close to the Derbyshire countryside and the Peak District National Park.

Nottingham is in the centre of England and so most places around the country can be visited within a few hours.
