Lovely 4 Bed home in La Rochelle, France

Our spacious four-bed home in La Rochelle, just 10 minutes from the major regional hub airport of La Rochelle/Laleu with daily budget flights to Stansted all year round and during the summer months to many other UK destinations, is a warm and welcoming space in a calm part of an exciting city - the jewel of western France.

Fully equipped, centally-heated and ready to move in with hi-speed WIFI, TV/DVD/HIFI system with all French TV channels and free-to-air UK TV channels (all major terrestrial and freeview channels) via satellite, the house is close to local amenities with a giant out of town shopping centre 5 mins walk or less by car, and the stunning and historic town centre 20 minutesleisurely walk away. Ideal for families with children, or equally perfect for an artist, writer, musician or creative person to find some quiet and some head space for a while! With an upright and an electric piano, it could suit a family with at least one musician like ourselves. There is a large garden with outside seating space, a brick-built barbecue and a large trampoline for the kids. Perfect for a part of France with a micro-climate leading to temperatures akin to those on the Mediterranean coast, and short winters.

We lived continuously in the house from 2003 to 2010, and it is still our main home, but four years ago we decided to move to London to work on spreading the word about our music (alternative folk band The Portraits, playing Glastonbury Festival 2014 - google us!)

We have a small flat in Shepherd's Bush, but with two children rapidly growing up, we are keen for more space, and ideally a garden area however small.

We are ideally looking for a home swap with a flat or house with 2 or 3 bedrooms within a mile or two of Hammersmith, but are open to other suggestions. We'd hope to find a swap for the academic year 2014-2015, so September to late June or early July, but we'd consider a shorter swap of just 2-3 months, for example.
