Heavenly House, Swimbridge
We live in the village of Swimbridge, in North Devon. Heavenly House is a former Baptist Chapel set slightly back from the village street with a graveyard in front and a large garden at the rear. We converted the chapel in 2001 and have made a beautiful family home with much character. N.B We have wi-fi but not a T.V!
The village has a pub and post-office and is a 10 minute drive from the town of Barnstaple which has a daily pannier market. The lovely Tarka Trail traffic-free cycle path can be joined here too. Our nearest beaches are a 20 min drive away and are beautiful, sandy and famous for their surf. Exmoor is only a 25 min. drive away where the walking, riding and cycling possibilities are stunning.
