Lovely 5 Bed home in Isla Bastimentos, Panama
La Loma's 23 hectares stretch up from the mangroves of Bahia Honda through tropical forest to the highest point on Bastimentos Island. Accessible only by boat, La Loma offers peaceful isolation from the bustle of Bocas town. The land borders the spectacular National Marine Park and idyllic white sand beaches are only a 5-minute boat journey away.
Our house and cabins were "handmade" in 2001 using sustainably local materials. We are off the grid and have solar panels for power and an onsite spring for water. Our buildings have been designed to take full advantage of the spectacular natural environment - there are few walls and the structures are elevated high off the ground. We have a cacao farm and extensive organic garden.
