Lovely 3 Bed home in Lewes, England

The house started out as a miller’s cottage attached to a 19th-century windmill on the edge of Lewes. It’s not overlooked from any direction and there are great views over the town and the Sussex Downs. All but one of the rooms (including the study/4th bedroom) look out on the garden. The lane that runs past the back of the house takes you into the countryside in a couple of minutes.

Lewes is a beautiful and historic town in the South Downs National Park. It’s a good area for walking, horse-riding and mountain-biking. Glyndebourne opera-house is nearby. Direct trains to London (via Gatwick airport) run twice an hour and take about 70 minutes. Our house is just a mile from the station and the town centre – a pretty 20-minute walk.
