Lovely 4 Bed home in Southampton, England

Our house is an attractive detached property, built in the 1970s with four bedrooms. Three of these are doubles and one single. It has a family bathroom upstairs and a cloakroom downstairs. We have added a sunny conservatory to the rear, where there is a small private garden.

We live in a community called Dibden Purlieu which is a suburb of Southampton, 15 miles away by road. The city is famous for the port where the Titanic set sail in 1912 and is going through a revival as a cruise ship centre. The old town and modern shopping centre can easily be reached by taking a ferry from the village of Hythe, 2 miles from us. Hythe is particularly scenic, with a 120 year old pier and electric railway that runs along the pier.

Additionally, we are situated on the very edge of the New Forest National Park, only 3 miles from Beaulieu, home of Lord Montague and the world famous National Motor Museum. The New Forest has miles of cycleways and unlimited walking possibilities to many typical English country pubs. Wild ponies, cattle and deer are free to roam at will. Also near to hand is the small boating town of Lymington where a frequent ferry service makes it possible to visit the Isle of Wight by car for a day trip or longer. Other places of interest that are within easy reach are Portsmouth to see Nelsons flagship Victory, Salisbury for Stonehenge, Bristol, Bath for the famous Roman Baths and Central London which is less than 2 hours by train.
