Lovely 1 Bed home in Lewes, England

Looking to exchange for 10 days or so in September....
The Secret Cottage - Lewes

I live in the County town of Lewes in East Sussex. I have a very lovely light and airy one bedroom cottage in the centre of the town with a very pretty and sunny south facing garden (the cottage is one floor, so easy access if mobility is a problem).

Lewes is a fantastic location to explore the South Downs; the city of Brighton is only 8 miles away (Brighton Festival in May is great) and Gatwick Airport only 30 mins away on train.

Lewes has very quaffable local ale (Harvey’s Brewery is the local brewery, just over the road which you can tour and taste) and with numerous independent pubs and restaurants, even a castle, there is plenty to do if the weather turns foul.

There is a little cinema, churches to explore, a castle, lots of flea markets and antique shops, books shops etc. Lewes is a Transition town, and now has its own currency (the Lewes pound, I kid you not!), and a farmers market on the first Saturday of every month.

You can walk to the train station and jump on a train to Brighton or Eastbourne or Hastings or further afield - London is only an hour by train. Everything you could want is here.

The cottage is very quiet (tucked away behind a bookshop) and very secure. The cottage has all the usual mod cons (though no internet access), and is full of books, music and radio 4. I live very simply, quietly and happily though would like to explore many more areas of the UK.
Am open to ideas of locations etc. Am happy to house sit or pet sit or if exchanges are not possible I sometimes rent cottage at a low rate £200 per week.
