Lovely 2 Bed home in Manchester, England

We live in a lovely, bright two bedroom apartment in the beautiful Salford Quays development of Manchester (new home of the BBC). The complex has won several architectural awards and is intended to complement the shipping heritage of the area. The apartment is high-spec with a large open plan living space and a full length decked balcony. There are two good sized bedrooms, one with en-suite. We are on the 10th floor of the development, which included gated parking.

The tram stop is 100m from the apartment, with a direct tram running into Manchester Piccadilly Gardens every 10 minutes (taking 7 minutes). The Manchester United ground is visable from the apartment and Old Trafford cricket ground is a short walk. Salford Quays is the home of the Lowery (theatre, arts, dance cetre) with a choice of local bars and restaurants.

In central Manchester there is no shortage of wonderful restaurants and bars there. Manchester is a great weekend destination as there is so much art and culture. We are also in a great location for walking and great routes can be reached either on foot (onto canal routes) or within a short drive.

We are looking for weekend swaps in the UK so we can go walking - we are open to offers but maybe Scotland or the lake district, or week or two exchanges in Europe (as we are close to Manchester airport), we would also be interested in longer term swaps in New Zealand or Australia especially South Australia.
